Community
We believe a strong school culture grows when families, educators, and supporters show up for one another.
About us
The Como-Pickton PTO is powered by parents and community leaders who care deeply about the student experience. Our executive board works to support school events, strengthen family engagement, and build a welcoming partnership with teachers and staff.

We believe a strong school culture grows when families, educators, and supporters show up for one another.
Every volunteer hour and every event is designed to encourage students, staff, and the broader school community.
We want every parent, guardian, teacher, and supporter to feel welcome in the work of the PTO.
Board leadership and volunteer support are guided by transparency, organization, and a commitment to meaningful impact.
Executive board bios
These leaders bring professional experience, family commitment, and a shared love for the Como-Pickton community to their PTO roles.
President
My name is Chelsea Lankford. I’m a wife and proud mom of two, Hazen in 7th grade and Harlin in 4th. I serve as President of the PTO and stay actively involved in my kids’ school as a class parent. I’m also a business owner and baker, an animal lover and mini farm owner, a member of Central Baptist Church, and a dedicated sports mom who loves cheering on basketball, baseball, football, and track.
Vice President
My name is Elyssa Boseman, and I am excited to serve as PTO Vice President. I have worked for Cypress Basin Hospice for 17 years and currently serve as Business Office Manager, and I look forward to bringing that nonprofit experience and knowledge to my role on the board. My husband, Cole, and I are both proud Como-Pickton graduates, and now our two sons are active students here as well. We are members of The Way Bible Church, I am an Athletic Booster Club Member, and Cole currently serves as a School Board Trustee. Our Eagle pride runs deep, and we truly love supporting the school and community that mean so much to our family. I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside others to make a positive impact for our students, staff, and families.
Secretary
My name is Cassi, I’m excited to serve as the PTO Secretary. I’m a registered nurse here at Christus Mother Frances Sulphur Springs, so staying organized and keeping things on track kind of comes with the job. My husband and I have two boys, Conrad and Arie, who keep us busy, and we’re also involved in our family dairy with my in-laws. Our faith is a big part of our lives, and I try to carry that into everything I do, including this role. Between work, kids, and the dairy, life stays pretty full. I’m really glad to be part of this school community and look forward to helping out however I can this year.
Treasurer
My name is Hannah Garrett, and I am grateful for the opportunity to serve as PTO Treasurer. As a parent in the district, I look forward to supporting the students, staff, and school community of Como-Pickton CISD while helping strengthen the connection between home and school. I work in school accountability and data analysis, and I am excited to bring those skills and my attention to detail to this role. I am committed to maintaining transparency and accuracy in all PTO financial processes while supporting initiatives that enhance students’ educational experiences and encourage meaningful family involvement. I also look forward to working with campus leadership and the school board throughout the year to help ensure the PTO makes a positive and meaningful impact in support of our organization’s mission.
